1. Who processes the data

This is my personal website and professional portfolio. For the purposes of this Policy, I am the data controller for personal data collected through edgarsilva.com.

2. Data collected

This site collects very little personal data, and only when a visitor actively provides it:

• Contact data: name, email, and message content, if you contact me directly by email or phone using the details published on the site.
• Aggregate technical data: this site is hosted as static pages, and usage statistics are generated from server logs (IP address, page requested, date).
• LinkedIn cookies: if you choose to activate the LinkedIn posts embedded on the homepage, LinkedIn may set its own cookies, outside my direct control. See the Cookie Policy for details.
• Google Analytics: with your explicit consent, I use Google Analytics to understand how many visits the site receives, where they come from, and which pages are viewed. This data is processed by Google, subject to its own privacy policy.

3. How the data is used

• Respond to messages and contact requests.
• Keep the site available and secure.
• Understand, in aggregate and anonymized form, how much traffic the site receives.

4. Legal basis

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, processing relies on your consent (for example, when activating the LinkedIn embeds or Google Analytics) or on my legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and keeping the site secure.

5. Data sharing

I do not sell or share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Sharing that may occur is with LinkedIn (if you choose to activate the embedded content) and with Google (if you choose to accept Google Analytics), subject to their own privacy policies.

This site consists of static pages served over HTTPS, with no database or forms that store data directly on the server, which significantly reduces the surface for risk.
