Kilograma Bakery

A tactile identity for an artisan bakery, built around warmth, authenticity and handcrafted detail.

01 · Challenge

Challenge

Kilograma is an artisan bakery from Lisbon, and its identity needed to communicate handmade quality at a glance — the kind of trust that usually comes from watching bread being made, not from a logo. The challenge was translating that tactile, flour-and-oven honesty into a mark that would still print cleanly on packaging and stationery.

02 · Approach

Approach

The "Kg" monogram is rendered as if worn from a hand-inked stamp, its distressed edges and uneven fill mimicking the imprint of a rubber seal repeatedly pressed into paper, and it sits inside a rough, hand-drawn ring rather than a clean circle. Restricting the palette to warm browns and unbleached kraft tones — the literal colour of paper bags and crust — keeps the whole system feeling handmade rather than art-directed.

03 · Solution

Solution

Stamped across kraft paper bakery bags and printed on two-tone business cards, the mark behaves like an artisan's signature rather than a corporate logo, showing up consistently wherever the product itself does. The identity reads as unmistakably handmade, giving Kilograma a visual honesty that matches the bread on the counter.
